The Penn Wharton Innovation Fund (PWIF) exists to fund creative and meaningfully innovative ventures from the Penn student community. All funding  decisions are made by our Investment Team, which is composed of current students from across the University of Pennsylvania.

The Investment Team is responsible for reviewing applications for funding during each of the award's four application cycles during the academic year. The team meets weekly to discuss funding applications and participate in educational sessions with peers and external industry experts and VCs. VC investors will join selected PWIF team meetings to  share their insights and knowledge - these sessions will only be open to PWIF investment team members.

Being on the Investment Team will require approximately 15-20 hours of reviewing and providing written feedback for assigned applications on the online platform during each application cycle's 10-14 day review period, as well as attending the Investment Team meetings in Tangen Hall.

Meetings will be held in Tangen Hall on Mondays, 6:00-9:00 PM ET. Applicants for the Investment Team should be available to attend all of the scheduled meetings. The first meeting will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025.

Note that if you are invited to interview for an Investment Team role, you will receive an invitation to interview by Monday, September 15, 2025 and interviews will be scheduled during the weeks of September 15-19 and September 22-26, so please keep those weeks flexible.
