Opens Dec 6 2021 12:00 AM (EST)
Deadline Jan 23 2022 11:59 PM (EST)
$5,000.00 to $50,000.00
Description

The Startup Challenge, sponsored by Eric Aroesty, C’92, provides a comprehensive platform to help Penn student entrepreneurs and their teams develop and launch their businesses, and a network for brainstorming, feedback, and future business opportunities. Teams compete for a chance to pitch to a live audience at the Startup Showcase and to win cash and in-kind prizes from an award pool of over $150,000.

To strengthen knowledge of business fundamentals, it is recommended that students who have not completed MGMT 231 or MGMT 806 (or a similar intensive course on essential entrepreneurship and business topics) take part or all of Wharton’s Entrepreneurship Specialization on the Coursera platform. Students have the option to audit courses without being charged for the certificate. Teams are also encouraged to join the Venture Initiation Program - Community (VIP-C).
